    Description

This 13.5” Triceratops brow horn was found in multiple pieces on private land in Montana.
The horn was a surface find, so its coloring is a mixture of light and dark browns. Its surface is covered in bumps and blood grooves and appears to have predation/battle marks although it’s honestly hard to say for certain. A section of the horn’s surface near the base was unstable, and has been professionally restored. Otherwise, the only other work done to this bone was crack fill where the pieces met. It is an excellent specimen and overall is approximately 85% complete.
The tip of the horn was snapped off possibly during the dinosaur’s lifetime as it is weathered and not a recent break. I considered restoring it, but ultimately decided that it gives the piece character.
This is a beautiful horn with personality, great color, and a lustrous surface. Definitely a cool piece to add to someone’s collection!
