3.5cm dinosaur (Hadrosaur) skin fragment; well defined scales, Cretaceous USA

Description

Offered from the Upper Cretaceous of Judas River, Montana, USA, is a well preserved 3.5cm X 2cm fragment of skin from a hadrosaur dinosaur, from the Low-Upper Cretaceous of Judas River, Montana, USA.
Approximately 14 individual scales, defined by sub- pentagonal borders are clearly visible on one surface, and several somewhat larger pentagonal scales are discernable on the reverse side.
Preservation of dinosur skin is a rare occurence and requires the dessication of a corpse prior to it being covered by lake or river water to preserve it.
