Universal classic backing plate fits single-sided 7.5" to 9”buffing pads with hook and loop backing. Cushioned backing helps evenly apply pressure and contact while compounding and polishing. Strong hook and loop grip securely holds pad in place during operation. Pad centering pipe included for easily attaching pads that do not self-center. 7" Diameter; 1/2" Dense Cushioned Face; Fits standard polishers and buffers with a 5/8" x 11 threaded arbor.

How to Use the Wool Pad Cleaning Tool:
Turn your
buffing or polishing machine to the lowest speed setting. Hold the Wool Pad Spur against the pad as it rotates. The rotating spurs on the tool will fluff up the wool on the pad in seconds!
How to Get Better Results From Your

Periodically check the pad as you buff and clean it as the surface begins to glaze over with compound or polish build-up. Use the Wool Pad Cleaning Tool (Wool Pad Cleaning Spur) included in this kit.
Never use a screwdriver, fork, or other stationary tool to clean your wool or wool-blend buffing pad. Using those types of “tools” will cause the wool tuffs to untwist and possibly damage the pad's backing.
Wash the wool buffing pad or the wool blend polishing pad by hand. Do not use high heat to wash or dry the pad because the
high heat promotes wool to shrink. Let the buffing pads air dry or spin them with your buffer.
Store the buffing pads in a clean dry place when not in use so that you can minimize foreign particles from coming in contact with

Quick Guide for Auto Compound Cutting and Polishing (and Waxing)
(Note: Compound, Polish, and Wax Are Not Included in this Kit)
COMPOUNDING:
Remove scratches from a vehicle’s paint surface.
Products to Use: A liquid compound and a 100% white twisted wool buffing pad.
Liquid compound is available in different grits (similar to sandpaper), typically
1,000 to about 5,000 grit,
depending on the type of imperfections you are removing.
LIGHT COMPOUNDING (BUFFING)
:
Removal of a thin layer of dull paint created by oxidation, overspray, minor orange peel, or bumps and ridges on the vehicle’s surface leaving a smooth paint finish.
Products to Use: A light grit liquid compound and a
100% Twisted Wool Pad
or a
Wool Blend Polishing Pad
POLISH:
Remove the dullness caused by compounding or
eliminating fine scratches, swirls, and imperfections from the vehicle’s finish while creating an incredible deep gloss.

A high gloss paint protection against all the elements of nature.
Products to Use: Wax or Paint Sealant
