    Description
    This amazing entrance door set was made by P. and F. Corbin around 1895. The design was named "Ravenna", and features flower-filled urns and trailing vines.  The nicely-incised artwork appears on the large doorplate and the entry doorknob, both cast bronze.  The interior knob is plain brass and oval.   The mortise lock has push-buttons, so that one side can remain unlocked, and the bolt works well with the key as well as the thumb-turn.  These pieces have light surface wear and the bronze is age-darkened.
    Antique Corbin Doorknob is 2 1/" diameter. Large plate is 3 1/8" by 11 7/8". Mortise lock faceplate is 1 1/4" by 9 1/4". Box is 4" deep and 6 1/4" tall; backset is 3". Striker, round rosette, rod and rod screws included.
