    Description

    Antique cast iron advertising hatchet dates to the turn of the twentieth century, c. 1890-1910. Measures 4-1/8 inches long. One side reads, "LOOK OUT FOR THE LAUREL STOVES & RANGES." Reverse, "THE ART STOVE CO DETROIT CHICAGO." There is a loop to attach a ribbon or chain, so it could be worn to support the Temperance Movement. Nickel plated finish.
