Discount Car Care Products Hook and Loop Backing Plate, a.k.a. back-up pad, is made to hold onto foam or wool buffing pads securely while your polisher is in motion. This backing plate has a 5/8" - 11 thread that fits most rotary polishers.
This Top-of-the-Line Hook and Loop Backing Plate is constructed of a molded plastic plate with a foam padded interface to minimize heat transfer. The foam overhangs the edge of the plastic plate slightly to guard against accidental contact with the paint. Hook and loop fasteners securely hold onto the pad of your choice.
