For bid is an original circa 1935-1940 Los Gatos, California (Santa Clara County) LIVE OAK INN Restaurant illustrated paper placemat souvenir!
This wonderful paper placemat features a color illustration of the restaurant building “The Home of Chicken and Dumplings.”
Most of the rest of the mat is a highway map with illustrations of Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz amusement park, Santa Clara, Saratoga, San Jose, etc.
This restaurant was located “Next to Bordens’ Drive-In.”
The placemat was printed by “Harvey” of Sturgis, Michigan.
It’s been folded for decades but is still in very good condition.
Someone took it from the restaurant, folded it, and then stored it neatly for decades!
It measures 17 inches long.
Folded, but in VERY good condition.
