    Description

    This is a large
    Carcharodontosaurus saharicus
    tooth
from the Kem Kem Formation in Morocco.
    Carcharodontosaurus
was a bipedal, carnivorous dinosaur, sometimes called the African T.rex and was  bigger than the American T. rex. It had a mouth full of curved serrated teeth, and lived during the Cretaceous era.
The tooth is 2.77 inches long -this is a straight measurement from base to tip and does not include the matrix at the base of the tooth, and 1.0 inches wide at the base. The tooth has almost all of its original enamel and well-preserved serrations (enamel folds).  The tip is perfect. Part of the base of the tooth may have been repaired.
