Erte CFA Deco Belt Buckle PLUME St.I Sterling Onyx Mother of Pearl 16/125 in box

Vintage Erte belt buckle, by CFA (Circle of Fine Art), entitled "Plume", this is State #1, sterling silver 925 with onyx and mother of pearl shell accents, measuring 4-7/8" long x 2-1/8" wide, signed on the back:  ERTE and numbered 16/125, marked STERLING and (copyright symbol) C.F.A., see close up photos, weighs 59.43 grams, comes in original velvet hinged box with CFA ERTE in gold imprinted on the lining, good condition, previously owned, sold as found, from a local estate.
In 1979, Erte allows his "Art to Wear" to be produced by CFA (Circle of Fine Art) in limited editions.  "Plume" is one of Erte's favorite designs and he personally wore it in different forms of jewelry.  "Plume" belt buckle state I, is illustrated in Erte, "Art to Wear" on page 132.
