Description
This is a fine pair of original dinosaur fossils from the 3 horned ceratopsian dinosaur, Triceratops horridus. The larger fossil is a nice thick portion of the large head shield, or the frill. Deep nutrient grooves are well defined. The smaller piece is awesome! It is a knob or spike, perhaps an epoccipital, an edge ornament from the frill, or it could be another form of spike. It is in great condition! These were found in the 66-67 million year old Hell Creek Formation deposits in southern Montana, Powder River County. Free US shipping.
