Doris Heise Miller established Cabin Craft, one of the first jewelry and gift shops in Ephraim, in 1932. The shop operated until 1972. Doris specialized in jewelry, particularly silver initial jewelry, and also made decorative and household items. Cabin Craft was originally located in the building which is now part of the Ephraim Historical Foundation. As with most Cabin Craft Shop works, this one is extensively hallmarked on in the inside of the bracelet and also on the "coins". It's large and heavy at 1" wide and the coins are even larger at 1 &3 /8". The internal circumference is about 5.5" not including the gap which is an additional 1 and 3/8". This piece could be adjusted larger by a professional jewelry, it's quite rigid and not meant for self adjusting. Weight is over 76 grams. Several of these pieces are in local Wisconsin Museums and this piece is probably the nicest piece of Cabin Craft Shop silver we have ever seen.
