Irene Castle (born Irene Foote) and her husband Vernon Castle (born William Vernon Blyth)
were a husband-and-wife team of ballroom dancers who appeared on Broadway and silent films
in the early 20th century. They reached the peak of their popularity in Irvin Berlin's Broadway
show
