This is a wonderful trace fossil for the collector seeking the hard to find Eubrontes dinosaur trackmaker from the Connecticut River Valley.
This Eubrontes track natural cast (raised, convex) hails from the Early Jurassic of Massachusetts. The likely trackmaker is interpreted as a large meat eating theropod dinosaur like a Dilophosaurus.
The tracks exhibits the three-toed nature of the dinosaur's foot. The claw impressions are well preserved and the track displays high topography. The footprint has been lightly darkened for contrast (
see photo #6 prior to dyeing, stand is not included
).
This dinosaur trace fossil was legally collected on private land and is being sold legally.
This is a great example of a collectible and highly sought after dinosaur track at a reasonable price that would easily fit on a shelf or in a display case.
