Description
Original data logo nameplate insignia for a ROYAL vacuum cleaner, made of acid etched brass with black painted infill. The P.A. Geier Co. of Cleveland, OH existed from 1905 to 1953 and was a major supplier of vacuum cleaners and other appliances. I do not know the age or specific application for this plate but based on appearance I assume it is from the 1920s-40s period. This logo plate is 3 1/16" wide by 1 3/16" high. The vacuum it is from was a 110 volt model with serial number 39179. It is in good to very good used condition with no damage but some minor wear. The lettering is sharp and clear but almost all of the infill paint is gone. The mounting holes are intact with only minor signs of use. This is an attractive and unique machine age historical piece perfect for display in your collection or for use in a steampunk assemblage.
