    Description

    U.S.S. Manila Bay (CVE-61).  A page with the ship's caption at the top.  Appears to be written in pencil and regards a man giving power of attorney to his wife, but is not signed, but mentions in the text  Charles Henry Robertson to Florence A. Robertson.   This is undated, but probably WWII or later.  The page measures about 8" across x 10 1/2" high, two punch holes at the top.  Also printed with words:  File No., Serial No.   When held up to a light a large watermark of an American Eagle & Shield can be seen.   Has been folded over twice, small chip out the side at one of th folds, some minor chips along the edges, some wrinkles, etc., brown / dark stain on back side.   An item for the specialist collector.  Perhaps this was a draft to be typed up ?
