William Spratling Sterling Silver Bangle Cuff Bracelet Ca. 1949-51. Let me first say that I am not an antique jewelry dealer or anything close to it. I’ve taken my photos to show the good and bad in this piece so that you are fully aware of what you will receive. If there are any questions please ask prior to making a bid/offer because there are no returns. I’ve taken most of my information from http://www.spratlingsilver.com/hallmarks.htm in an attempt to authenticate. The primary hallmark in conjunction with the tertiary hallmark date the bangle between 1949-51, and the absence of a secondary hallmark suggest that it was made at Spratling’s ranch and not the Conquistador facility. The bangle is entirely silver save for an unknown material type fastened on by silver bands. A few of these bands are broken off and there are a couple chips in the material. One person said it might be tortoise shell but it has not been verified. I can take more photos if needed, just let me know. I will be out of town next week so shipping may be delayed.
